
2027: SMA Emerges APC Consensus Candidate for Bida/Gbako/Katcha

The lawmaker representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency of Niger State, Saidu Musa Abdullahi, popularly known as SMA has expressed appreciation to the leadership and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Abdullahi, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance, specifically thanked the Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, for his role in the consensus arrangement and the confidence reposed in him over the years.
According to the lawmaker, the governor’s continuous support remains a strong motivation toward strengthening the voice and competitiveness of Niger State at the National Assembly. He described his choice as a great honour and a demonstration of confidence in his stewardship.
He also commended the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar; the Sheshi of Katcha, Alhaji Baba Adamu; as well as traditional and religious leaders across the constituency for their guidance and commitment to peace.
While thanking state legislators, local government chairmen, party executives, and various youth and women groups for their solidarity, Abdullahi extended hands of fellowship to other aspirants who contested the ticket with him.
He praised his co-contestants for embracing dialogue and prioritizing party unity, describing the outcome as a collective victory for the APC.
The lawmaker, however, cautioned his supporters against mocking or insulting opponents over the outcome of the consultations, stressing that the consensus arrangement was a win-win situation aimed at stabilizing the party.
He assured the people of Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency that his re-emergence would further strengthen his commitment to quality representation, impactful projects, and humanitarian support.
He also reaffirmed his support for the developmental vision of Governor Bago and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
