URNI Partners with NOA to Strengthen National Patriotism and Youth Development
By Comfort Chukwukelue
Abuja – The Unveiling and Rebranding Nigeria Initiative (URNI) has taken a significant step in fostering national consciousness and youth development by engaging the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in a strategic discussion on patriotism and civic responsibility.
A delegation from URNI, led by its Lead Strategist, Mrs. Obiageri Ndulue, visited the NOA headquarters in Abuja to explore collaborative efforts aimed at reshaping narratives about Nigeria and instilling a renewed sense of national pride among citizens, particularly the youth.
During the meeting, Mrs. Ndulue highlighted URNI’s commitment to strengthening national identity through civic engagement, storytelling, and grassroots advocacy. She outlined key projects such as the Nigeria Through My Lens campaign, the URNI Symposium, the URNI Novelty Match, and the Faces of Patriotism book distribution to schools—all designed to reinforce patriotism through education and impactful storytelling.
In his response, NOA’s Director-General, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, commended URNI’s vision and reaffirmed the agency’s support for initiatives that promote national rebranding. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between government agencies, private institutions, and civil society organizations like URNI in reshaping public perception. He also underscored NOA’s commitment to the National Identity Project, which includes the National Values Charter, the Nigeria Promise, and the Citizen Codes—frameworks that define the essence of true Nigerian citizenship.
The meeting concluded with both organizations expressing optimism about future partnerships aimed at fostering patriotism and active citizenship.
With this development, URNI continues to position itself as a key advocate for national rebranding, working closely with stakeholders to promote a positive and unified national identity.
