
Senator Barau Jibrin Urges Youths to Embrace Innovation and Unity for Nigeria’s Future

Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has called upon Nigerian youths to foster peace, focus on innovation, and tackle the country’s challenges with dedication.
Barau made the call In a recent meeting with the leadership of the APC X Eagle Forum.The event, held at his Abuja residence over the weekend, saw the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament emphasizing the pivotal role of the youth in Nigeria’s future.
Senator Barau drew from his own political journey, recalling mentorship from notable figures like the late Malam Aminu Kano and Alhaji Abubakar Rimi, who, he noted, dedicated their lives to the nation’s development. “These leaders sacrificed immensely for Nigeria, and it is our duty to honor their legacy with integrity and commitment,” he said.
He underscored the necessity of constructive political engagement, advising the forum to highlight the achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while avoiding divisive rhetoric. “You are the future leaders of this country,” Senator Barau stated. “Prepare yourselves to lead with the country’s best interests at heart.”
The forum’s Chairman Ahmad Gogel and Secretary Muhammad Ibrahim Tudun Wada praised Senator Barau for his sponsorship of the bill establishing the North West Development Commission (NWDC). They expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for assenting to the bill, which they believe will address challenges in the North West geopolitical zone. The forum presented Senator Barau with a nomination letter as their Grand Patron.
