The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has signed a contract for the implementation of the Employee Performance Management System (EPMS), marking a major step toward strengthening accountability, transparency, and efficiency in public service.
The signing ceremony, held on October 5, 2025, at the Commission’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, reflects a key stride under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The event was attended by the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer, Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote, departmental and unit heads, and representatives from Triple Edge Consult, the implementing partner.
In her welcome address, the Head of Human Capital Management, Mrs. Rhoda Jackden, said the system would align organisational goals with individual performance expectations, serving as a catalyst for productivity and accountability.
Team Lead of Triple Edge Consult, Barrister Olusegun Adekunle, described the EPMS as a framework that introduces measurable, transparent, and structured performance parameters for government agencies. He added that the system would enable NIMC to monitor progress, achieve set targets, and deliver quality services to Nigerians.
In her remarks, the DG/CEO, Engr. (Dr.) Coker-Odusote, commended the initiative and urged all staff to commit to its full implementation. She disclosed that departmental cascades have begun to ensure that every unit aligns its operations with the new performance framework.
The ceremony culminated in the formal signing of the EPMS contract by the DG/CEO, departmental heads, and unit representatives — marking what the Commission described as the dawn of a performance-driven culture at NIMC.
The initiative, according to the Commission, sets a strong foundation for improved efficiency, transparency, and service excellence in identity management across Nigeria.
