
Legislative Reforms, Staff Welfare Top Newly Appointed CNA’s Agenda

The Clerk to the National Assembly, Mr. Kamoru Ogunlana, Esq., has reiterated his dedication to driving key legislative reforms and enhancing the efficiency of the parliamentary bureaucracy.Speaking at his inaugural meeting with top management officials of the National Assembly, Ogunlana emphasized the importance of prioritizing staff welfare, recognizing its critical role in driving productivity. “The future of our institution depends on our collective commitment to progress and excellence. Together, we must uphold the ideals of professionalism, accountability, and unwavering service to the Nigerian people,” he stressed.Ogunlana’s commitment to reform includes advancing the amendment of the National Assembly Service Act and the National Assembly Pension Board (Establishment) Bill. These initiatives aim to strengthen the parliamentary bureaucracy and ensure its effectiveness.In addition to legislative reforms, Ogunlana vowed to build upon the infrastructural advancements initiated by his predecessor while addressing emerging security challenges within the Assembly. He commended the leadership for their exceptional contributions to maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the National Assembly bureaucracy.Ogunlana’s call to action emphasizes the importance of collaboration and collective commitment to achieving the institution’s goals.
