House of Representatives spokes person, Hon. Akin Rotimi has said that committee meetings and constituency programmes of members of the House continues despite the postponed resumption of plenary by one week.
Hon Rotimi in a statement he signed on Friday stated that “This adjustment is necessary to accommodate the completion of renovations to the Main Chamber of the House of Representatives to ensure its readiness for plenary sessions, henceforth.”
The development was conveyed to Honourable Members by the Clerk, House of Representatives, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, Esq. in an internal correspondence on Thursday.
Recall that resumption from recess was Originally slated for Tuesday, April 16, 2024, however, given the necessity has been rescheduled to Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
