Kano Emirate Tussle: CISLAC Express Concern Over Security of Citizens; Calls for Immediate Action

A civil society organization, Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Center, CISLAC, has expressed concern over the ongoing leadership tussle within the Kano emirate.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Executive Director of the organization Auwal Musa and released to Journalist.
The statement further reads that the state government holds the constitutional powers to appoint and confirm traditional rulers including the Emirs as such appointment falls within the jurisdiction of the state and not federal government.
