Late Herbert Wigwe, wife and son laid to rest in his hometown.

The remains of the late Herbert Wigwe, his late wife, Chizoba, and son, Chizi have been laid to rest in his hometown Omueke, Isiokpo in Rivers State.
Before the final burial rites, there was a funeral service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.
Prominent dignitaries who are present at the final burial rites include, Chairman Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, Former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido, among others.
The deceased alongside former Group
Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), Abimbola Ogunbanjo, as well as two pilots, were all in the Airbus Helicopter EC 130B4 with registration number N130CZ, which crashed near Halloran Springs, California, on February 9, 2024.
