
Benue State University Partners BDIC to Launch Digital Transformation Initiative

Benue State University of Agriculture, Science and Technology Ihugh has partnered with the Benue Digital Innovation Centre (BDIC) to integrate digital technologies and modern computing infrastructure into the university’s operations.
The partnership aims to implement the “One Student, One Computer, One Digital Skill” initiative, ensuring that every student has access to a personal computer and essential digital skills training.
The Chairman of the Implementation Committee of the university, Professor Gruisterberg Amua, paid a courtesy visit to discuss the partnership’s details. According to the university, the partnership will empower students with digital skills, modernize university operations, boost learning and research, and contribute to economic growth and job creation.
“This partnership is a testament to BDIC’s commitment to supporting the vision of His Excellency Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormen Alia, who has consistently championed digital transformation as a catalyst for development, job creation, and youth empowerment in Benue State,” professor Amua said.
He also described the partnership one that aligns with the state government’s digital transformation agenda, positioning Benue State as a hub of digital innovation and economic empowerment.
The initiative will also provide training and support to faculty and staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to use digital technologies in teaching, research, and administration, Amua concluded.
